Atria Lures Former LPL Exec Bill Morrissey to Lead Independent Channel

Atria says Morrissey will be deeply involved in the firm’s evolution and bring the firm into the next phase of growth.
Atria Wealth Solutions, the Lee Equity Partners-backed wealth management holding company launched by former Morgan Stanley executive Doug Ketterer in 2017, has tapped Bill Morrissey, the former managing director and divisional president of business development at LPL Financial, as head of the independent channel, a newly created role.
Morrissey joins from Guardian Life Insurance Company, where he served as head of wealth management.
He joined LPL in 2004 as senior vice president of advisory consulting services. In 2014, he was promoted to managing director of independent advisor services, taking over for Derek Bruton, who stepped down due to concerns over his interactions with other employees.
